Network Technician/ IT Infrastructure Specialist

Visionpool Business Services is hiring a Network Technician / IT Infrastructure Specialist who will support the deployment, installation, configuration, testing, documentation, and ongoing support of file servers and network infrastructure. The position will work closely with the IT team and technical resources to maintain reliable network operations and support infrastructure projects.  THIS OPPORTUNITY IS LOCATED 100% ON SITE IN REGINA, SK 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide ongoing support for HPE Aruba networking equipment, including switches and wireless access points. 

  • Deploy, configure, and support approximately HPE Aruba Wi-Fi access points. 

  • Install, organize, and maintain network equipment within network racks, including cable management, labeling, and equipment organization. 

  • Assist with the configuration and maintenance of VLANs, network segmentation, IP addressing, and wireless networks. 

  • Install, configure, and support file servers, including network connectivity, storage, RAID, power redundancy, and server management interfaces. 

  • Maintain accurate documentation of equipment installations, network connections, configurations, test results, and identified issues. 

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network, server, and connectivity issues. 

  • Coordinate daily activities with other technical resources to support ongoing IT operations and infrastructure projects. 

  • Assist with planning, implementing, and supporting network and server upgrades as required. 

 

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Minimum 3 years experience installing, configuring, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure. 

  • Knowledge and experience with firewalls, particularly Fortinet technology. 

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and Failover Clustering implementations. 

  • Demonstrated experience with structured cabling, patch panels, network racks, and cable management. 

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, PoE, wireless networking, and network segmentation. 

  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting wired and wireless network connectivity and performance issues. 

  • Demonstrated experience with server hardware, storage, and virtualization technologies. 

  • Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and follow technical installation and configuration documentation. 

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and technical documentation skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a technical team. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work within defined project schedules and deadlines. 

  • Working knowledge of HPE Aruba switching and wireless technologies is preferred. 

  • Experience with the Microsoft Azure platform; Microsoft Azure certification is preferred.
